1Up Social Club is located very close to Diagonal Street in the Eixample Izquierda, right in the real center of the city. This cannabis association is famous by design: the theme of this place is comics, cartoons, and video games. The club is packed with details, such as a big figure of Slimer (from Ghostbusters) under the ceiling. There’s even a wall covered in comic-style graffiti! You can find homages to Star Wars, The Simpsons, Mario Bros, Lego, Super Pang, and many more gaming/nerdy themes.
The club has excellent ventilation and a lot of warm light, so it feels like visiting a friend’s house. But it’s also the perfect place to come with your laptop and work a little. There is a big communal table, or you can sit at a tabletop that spans the wall (and plenty of outlets are available for charging). It is difficult to imagine a better place to spend time with friends. There are no concerts or live music (but hip-hop music plays in the background). Even without live music, members have lots of options to have a great time. Also, you can purchase T-shirts and other merch, which would be a great gift for a comic-loving friend.
